Shimla such a beautiful place, if you want hang out specially
outside metropolitan city, do visit Shimla. You’ll be fascinated. However I must
tell you there are two shimla one is the main city and one is hilly area, which
is known for apple varieties. In this blog I’ll talk about main city. I call it
natural paradise, and its also called Hills queen. Well known as a hub for Indian
tourism. It’s a scenic beauty. Shimla was the summer capital of Britishers. It came
into existence on 11/01/1972. I dunno wanna talk about history. I share
important thing which thrills me about shimla that is Shimla-kalka railway line. This consists about
806 bridges and 103 tunnels. That is mesmerizing. In winter city is surrounded by
snow-capped peaks. That looks amazing. I never knew the importance of the city
before. Now I have realized the importance of the place. As I am staying out of
the city. Though it’s pretty cold in winter, But then every coin has two sides.
Places to
visit in Shimla :- Shimla-kalka railway, The Mall, The Ridge, Christ
Church, Indian Institute of advanced study, Gaiety Heritage Cultural complex,
Jakhu Temple, Kufri, Naldehra Golf Course so on and so forth.
Location :-
Shimla is Located in the middle ranges of the Himalayas, The
city of Shimla is spread over an undulating altitude that averages at 2100
meters above sea level, The city is spread over an area of 25 square kilometers.
That the main city if we talk about whole state area then its 5,131 km2 (1,981 sq mi). Population: 171,817. The distance of the place is about 370 km from national capital.
If we talk about economy states economy basically depends on agriculture, tourism, Hydro power and government employment. In my next blog I’ll talk about hilly shimla which is far more interesting then the city one.
